What is prayer?

Prayer is a request you make to the Creator...prayer is a language that your soul/spirit use to receive strength...prayer is communion... prayer is fellowship...prayer is a dialogue to yourself to bring about change... prayer is worship...prayer is hope...prayer is a declaring truths...prayer is a wish made...prayer is a way of life...prayer is a plea...prayer is uttered desires…..the responses to this question are endless.

Prayer is an act that can’t be limited to one thing. Every thought you have, every action you make is a prayer, whether good or bad, you are making a request to the Universal Subconscious Mind to receive something. No really think about it (or, pray about it), when you release a traditional prayer of bowing your head with your eyes close or open, you are either voicing or contemplating thoughts that you have attracted, right? Or, when you perform a task, no matter how small or big, you are declaring your position on the act being completed, right? For example, when you go to the store, you are affirming the faith you have that the floor will not cave in, you are stating that your credit card or bank has enough funds to clear the transaction and basically, saying publicly to the people around you that you believe they will not hurt you, right?

If you agree then, every thought or action you make is a prayer. Your entire life is a prayer and your life mostly reflects the sum of the majority of requests you have made. If you want more, do more, if you need more, request more, if you desire change, seek and be change. The re-generating power inside of us cannot act properly if our actions and thoughts are negative and promoting fear.

St. Paul stated that we should pray without ceasing. Praying without ceasing could be described as staying connected to the LIGHT, the LIGHT being the omnipotent, all-knowing, ever-present force in all universes creating, inspiring and driving all of us to TRUTH. Prayer is a powerful tool that can and should be used in our process of elevating to our original state of being – pure, free, immortal and rich inside and out.

What is your definition and thoughts on prayer?
